Juventus 5 – 1 Sampdoria

Juventus brought themselves right back into the title race with an outstanding 5-1 victory over Sampdoria. at the Stadio Olimpic Torino.

Two goals from Amauri and goals from Chiellini, Camoranesi and Trezeguet made sure all three points were staying in Turin. Giampaolo Pazzini got Sampdoria’s consolation.

This was a much hyped match, with both clubs making fine starts to the season.

Juventus started the game in positive fashion. After just 10 minutes Castellazzi saved from a Grosso shot, Diego’s effort from the rebound was deflected out for a corner, the resulting corner produced an outstanding saved from Castellazzi who got down to his right to save a Chiellini header.

Juventus continued to dominate and Amauri was the next player to come close with a 14-yard drive which was cleared off the line by Lucchini.

The opening goal soon came on the 27th minute.. The Sampdoria defence fell asleep during a corner from Diego, allowing Amauri an easy tap-in.
Sampdoria were looking shaky, with just two minute till half time Juventus added a second, Chiellini slotting in an Amauri cross.

The second half continued in the same vain as the first. Juventus added a third just five minutes after the restart. Diego and Giovinco played some tidy football down the left, with Giovinco firing in a cross for Camoranesi to tap in at the back post.

Samp’s misery was to continue as Juventus continued to dominate, on the 63rd minute Amauri was to add a forth. Camoranesi crossed in from the right, the Samp defence failed to get anything on it and the Juventus forward headed in.

Sampdoria finally managed to put a noticeable attack together just two minutes later, they got their consolation from it, Cassano whipped the ball in for Pazzini to nod the ball home but it too little too late for the Blucerchiati.

Juventus went on to complete the route, just two minutes from time, substitute David Trezeguet nodded in a wonderful cross from full back Fabio Grosso.
