Sampdoria 3 – 1 Udinese

Sampdoria went top of the table last night after an impressive 3-1 victory against Udinese.

Giampaolo Pazzini opened the scoring on the 11th minute after latching onto Aleksandr Lukovics poor pass back. Soon after Castellazzi pulled off an outstanding double save to prevent Udinese from equalising, Castellazzi was on fine form throughout the game.

Sampdoria went on to double their lead on the 45th minute, Cassano played a neat back heel into the path of Mannini who fired into the back of the net.

Castellazzi was finally beaten on the 56th minute after Di Natale volleyed in from close range.

Cassano made sure of the win on the 83rd minute with a trademark solo effort, taking on two defenders to slot into the far bottom corner. Three minutes later Samp were awarded a penalty after Cassano was brought down by Handanovic. The Udinese keeper made up for his mistake and saved Cassanos tame penalty.
