Tissone speaks ahead of Bremen clash

Fernando Tissone has been speaking ahead of Sampdoria's Champions League tie with Werder Bremen.

"We need to pull off a typical Sampdoria performance," he told Sky Sport, before adding, "With all due respect to Werder Bremen, we mustn’t have any fear of the opposition. They possess great champions like (Mesut) Ozil but we ourselves can do damage with the likes of (Antonio) Cassano and (Giampaolo) Pazzini."

The midfielder was then asked about Sampdoria's transfer market dealings compared to their city rivals, Genoa, who have invested considerably more than the Blucerchiati this summer. "Genoa and Sampdoria have made different choices in the transfer market. Let's wait and see until the derby who has come out better equipped."

Finally, he set a rather pessimistic goal for the coming season. "I don’t know where we will finish this season, but as a minimum I think we should be aiming for at least tenth place."
